Now more than ever, all stakeholders in Jamaica’s tourism capital will benefit from a strategic alliance that has been forged between Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues and whatsonjamaica.com for the upcoming 2004 edition of the festival. “This alliance is dedicated to enhancing the prospects of all the stakeholders in the hospitality industry in Montego Bay and its surrounding environs to make money,” said Walter Elmore of Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues, after months long talks to seal this deal.
He went on to explain, that over the years, some have complained that they don’t benefit as they should, from the rich fall out of local and overseas visitors to resort towns during the festival. This alliance will create synergies between travelers, rent-a-car companies, good, unknown hidden away restaurants, craft vendors, after-party organizers and day events’ promoters. From the beginning, the discussions between both companies focused on how to develop an alliance that would add value to the jazz and blues product.
Whatsonjamaica.com has a proven, tested and reliable infrastructure that offers customers constantly updated information on rooms and tickets availability. According to Elmore, the perception has been, that all rooms in the Montego Bay and surrounding areas are fully booked, but research shows that a significant percentage of available accommodations remain unsold.
